CNA Financial came to us with an opportunity to help unify their internal Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. The organization had eight separate Employee Resource Groups. We worked to create a system of "logos" to uniquely identify each group while also feeling unified under CNA's brand standards.
The challenge was clear: represent each group well individually (while appeasing each group's stake holders), maintain brand standards (and colors!) and also make the group of emblem's feel cohesive.
Instead of thinking of each as a logo, we created a badge for each group. Badges are an emblem worn proudly and the feedback for each ERG was the same.
After the badges and assets were finalized we went onsite to film interviews of employees discussing their respective ERGs. These videos were used internally across the organization in new hire initiatives.
